You can go to the Sambadrome in many ways. By taxi, the Sambadrome has an agreement with a few authorized taxi companies that will drop you off as close as possible to the Sambadrome. Tell the taxi driver your sector number to take you to the correct entrance. On the way back, you can take one of these taxis, parked between sectors 8 and 10 on the even side and between sectors 9 and 11 on the odd side.
Another option is the transfer service that takes you straight from your Hotel or the boarding point to the Sambadrome.
One of the best ways to get to the Sambadrome is by subway. Trains run every 10 minutes throughout the night with many costumed revelers heading to the Sambadrome, and the service runs 24 hours during the parade days. Our Special Transfer service is the most convenient and safe way to get to the Sambadrome. Departing from Rio's main hotels, at 3 specific times and on the way back, at the end of each samba school parade a transfer leaves and returns to the same point where you boarded.

Even Sectors
If your ticket is in the even side, sector 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12, the options are:
Taxi – The company authorized to do the taxi service on the even side is Coopatur. The service has pre-arranged prices and requires the customer to call ahead to schedule the service. Coopatur Tel: (21) 2573-1009 / 3885-1000
Subway – the subway service is very reliable and safe, running uninterrupted throughout the parade days 24 hours a day, with a 10-minute break during the night. For even sectors, the best station is Praça Onze. Leave Praça Onze station through the access B - Marquês de Sapucaí, and go straight to Sector 2. The Sambadrome will be in front, with excellent signage so you can find your sector.
Odd Sectors
If you purchased tickets for one of the odd sectors 3, 5, 7, 9, or 11 the options are:
Taxi – Just like the even side, there is an authorized company to do the taxi service with a fixed price. Call them and make an appointment with Coopertramo for the odd side — Tel: (21) 2560-2022 / 2560-1474
Subway – The best station to get off is Central Station. From there, you will walk to the Sambadrome for about 700 meters, along the floats of the upcoming samba schools and the famous Terreirão do Samba.
Transfer — Remember, you must add this service during your purchase on our website and select between 3 time options to board the coach. On the end of each Samba School Parade, a transfer will leave the Sambadrome and return you to your boarding point.
